NO you cannot go direct from miami to cuba even as a british citizen.i done this trip last year .You have to fly miami to nassau / nassau to cuba then in reverse .it costs around £400 return and is easy to book with any online flight search .I would recommend you take at least 4 days as it is quite a long journey about 8 hrs each way due to plane changes ETC. also you have taxes to pay in the bahamas and cuba when you leave .YES it is worth it.

I was rather surprised to find that there are charter flights between the US and Cuba, e.g. http://www.destinationcuba.com/airfare.htm - Miami / Havana / Miami from $450 adult fare, plus $70 taxes - it's illegal for US citizens to travel to Cuba, or to spend money in Cuba without permission from the US government (the economic blockade has been in place since about 1960); as for whether non-US citizens can use these flights (I think they're mainly aimed at Cuban exiles living in the US), I think this is something you should really check with the US authorities and not rely off advice from people on the street.
One other thing to remember if you're travelling to Cuba: if you're going to use credit cards, check what the ultimate ownership of your bank is - even if your cards are issued in the UK, if the bank is ultimately owned by an American corporation e.g. Alliance & Leicester --> MBNA --> Bank of America, your cards WILL NOT WORK in Cuba.

There are cutting-edge allowances for Cubans with family participants in Cuba to fly promptly from the U. S. into Cuba. This calls for an prolonged attitude of permissions from the government, and that's merely less complicated to trip by making use of Canada or Mexico. The flights are obtainable basically to the persons falling into this team, or a pre-approved training/medical/humanitarian attempt. that's because of the 50 year long temper tantrum the U. S. has been throwing, in any different case widespread as an embargo.

If you want to sense specific in an memorable holyday then Miami can be your place, exactly like you will dsicover with hotelbye . The accommodations and the traditional hideaways of Coral Gables from Miami will surely impress you just like the famous Ocean Drive. Ocean Drive goes along the oceanfront in Miami Beach, moving the old Art Deco buildings and the famous strip of mud referred to as South Beach. In Ocean Drive you can move equally to the afternoon and to the night for a gradual sail and some drive by sightseeing. Still another place worth visit may be the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The structure, the causes, and the art it contains are worth the journey to visit that beautiful place.

Due to the US embargo against Cuba there are no direct flights or ferries to Cuba. US citizens can travel only with a Governmental (OFAC) license to Cuba. For citizens with a US license there are charter flights ( on a limited base) to Cuba. By my knowledge there is no (legal) ferry traffic between Cuba and the US. US citizens who travel ( ILLEGAL) to Cuba go thru Cancun (Mexico) or Toronto (Canada)

I am surprised that there are charter flights from Miami to Cuba as it is illegal for US citizens to travel to Cuba. I have visited from the UK flying directly but you must obtain a visa before you go. You can certainly fly from Mexico or S.America. We used Havanatour based in Potters Bar in Hertfordshire. Phone 01707 646 463. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you phoning and asking for their advice.

your best bet is to talk to MarAzul Tours in Miami, they do all direct flights from Miami and NY.
