That's an interesting mix you have! I don't think I've ever met anyone Finnish.
My paternal grandmother came from Ireland. My dad's paternal grandparents and all my mom's grandparents came from Ireland, too.
I'm 50% Mayo, 25% Kerry, and 25% Wexford!
Edit: That's even more intriguing! Sounds like you have a colorful family history. (Still, I've never met anyone Swedish, either!)

Cool question!
My mom's paternal side came over in the 1600's fleeing religious persecution from the Protestant Reformers in England/Ireland. Settled in Maryland, then Missouri, then Oklahoma. My ancestory on that side is Irish/Welsh. Her mom's family is German/Dutch immigrated in the 1700's ended up in Indiana, then Kansas, then Indian Territory in the early 1800's.
My dad's side immigrated in the 1800's from Ireland, settled in the South, married into the Choctaw tribe then was relocated to Indian Territory from Alabama during the trail of tears era.

Three generations ago, my mom's side of the family came here from Germany . My dad was left on a doorstep by his biological family at less than 2 weeks old. He was found and adopted by the family who raised him. I never knew their background information.

Let's see:

My mother's family came over from England on one of the first ships after the Mayflower. Several of my ancestors are noted in the history books from the Revolutionary War era. One of my ancestors has her portrait hanging in the national gallery in D.C. and she looked so much like my mother it's spooky and there were 14 (?) generations between them (can't remember the exact number without looking it up).
My dad's parents came over from Italy to be part of the Great Melting Pot/Ellis Island immigration period at the end of the 1800s.

Both my parents were born here in America (so was I). My maternal grandparents were born in Oregon and TN. My paternal grandfather was born in CA and my grandmother was an immigrant from Italy.

Many came to America 150 years ago from Liverpool, England. The Scots/Irish came over a little earlier. A few must have been on the Mayflower though.
What is with the three thumbs down for my family? It's not like they escaped from the "Island of Dr. Moreau".
