Bad tile job? Need help with how to remove dried on grout.?
The bad job was done more than 6 months ago, so if anyone knows how to remove excessive dried grout on the tiles without harming the actual tile, any help will be appreciated. Already tired scraping , wet sponging but it is not helping.

If scraping with a wood knife or even a plastic edged putty knife hasn t gotten it off no amount of wet washing or vinegar will touch it either. The newer grouts or modified to hold stronger( as you know). Go to a tile shop and get a product made to remove grout haze . I use a product when needed called Remove by Hydroment or Bostic which ever you find it under. There are other products that are like this that others may recommend too. I use it straight ( you wear rubber gloves) and rinse very well. Ask the tile people about a doodle bug pad or a white nylon "scratch pad" This may aid you in getting excess off. Any questions you can e mail me GL

Vinegar will clean up most grout...if it's stubborn, wet an old rag with the vinegar & let it set on it spawled grout for a while.
Good luck...
