Has anyone used Dr. Scholls Freeze Away on a 4-6 year old? Please share your experience.?

My son is 5 and we discovered this morning that he has a wart on the top of his big toe. I'm considering using this product (it is approved for children as young as 4) but I would like to know people's experience especially ease of use, effectiveness, pain level, and duration of healing.

Thanks.

I have only used Wartners wart removal system,

my childs skin was cleared within 10 days.

she has tiny wart on toe and it spread really bad and ugly. I tried the vinegar, but it took too long and they were spreading to her fingers.

So i bought this and used it. She said it hurt for only the amt of time your hold the sponge tip there, 30-45 seconds. After about 5 minutes the pain in gone and after a few days wart starts to peel off. She has pretty toes and fingers now.

My daughter had a wart on her hand when she was six. I used the freeze away stuff 3 times and it did nothing. She did say it hurt a little but she does have a high tolerance to pain. So that is something to consider with your son is his pain tolerance. I ended up taking her to the doctor twice and it still didn't work. They finally recommended that I go to the dermatologist and that took care of it. She hasn't had one since. If you do the freeze away and it doesn't go away, I would go to a derm if your insurance allows it. Those warts can be persistent.

My husband did it and he said it hurt. It didn't work either. He still has a wart. The best thing to do is put him in the tub, get it all soft and clean and use those wart remover disks and cover it with a Bandaid. It's much more cost-effective to just go to the doctor though-- the kits cost like $20 or so and you need it do at least 2 rounds-- good luck!

I just tried it too and the same thing happened to me. It felt a little cold, like snow, or ice cube or something, but, didn't burn at all. I may have killed all the nerves in that area, though. A few weeks ago I tried burning the wart off with a soldering iron. That did hurt, a lot, lol. But the wart healed itself. My uncle said he used to burn warts off with a TIG welder. If the freeze away doesn't work, I'll probably try that.

dr scholls freeze 46 year share experience

  • My husband said it hurts and he once pulled a nail out of his own face. So his pain tolerance is up there. There are other ways. Here's a link for a apple cider vinegar cure:
