Do you find yourself attracted to any actress...?

that you would agree is not really pretty?

In other words, are there any other features besides good looks that make you want to see a film with a specific actress?

Update:

Cristina, I was actually expecting guy's answers.

Update 2:

I guess Dubs has both feet in the ground but a movie is closer to daydreaming than to analysis, that's why actors and actresses gain a who-knows-what, that makes them specially attractive.

Update 3:

I wasn't interested in woman's answer because like Cristina and Leiko show, it's expected that women say "actresses should act". If I asked men "what do you find attractive in actors?" they would certainly answer the same: "that they can act".

But there´s more than meets the eye.

The only unattractive actress that comes to mind whom I regard as brilliant is Meryl Streep. She is a very old lady but her performances in every film I've seen her in, starting with Deer Hunter have been extraordinary. Other than her I really can't think of anyone who meets the criteria.

    Tina Fey

    Amy Poehler

    Kelly Ripa

    Debra Messing

Though I find all of these actresses good looking, my attraction to them has actually to do more with their personalities or those of the characters they've portrayed than their actual looks. Basically they're all pretty funny. I especially like Kelly Ripa. I see her on Regis and Kelly and she just has this really exuberant - almost childlike spirit that I just can't help but like.

Although your question is meant to be for guys, I want to give it a shot!

How about Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta-Jones? They're hot for sure, but if that was her only quality there are many many many people who wouldn't see their movies, yet they both add some sort of "spark" to their characters, Not sure how to explain it, kind of a mix of freshness and that "bad girl" attitude which is a combo I find to be very attractive.

Not really. I'm more attracted to their ability to act then how they look, because its just to unrealistic to evolve an attraction to a women whom I would probably never communicate with. For the establishment of a real attraction for me requires the ability to communicate in a real setting.

Yes, I have a girl crush on French actress, Marion Cotillard. She isn't "perfect" like actresses often are, she doesn't look like an assembly line Barbie Doll. She has these little imperfections, like the bags under her eyes, which I find sexy and charming. She also has a smile which I find genuine.

Looks are not all. i like to watch a movie only when i know the actor or actress are known for their acting. (for example - Julia Roberts)

The only one I can think of is Kirsten Dunst. I don't usually find her attractive at all but she didn't look too bad in the Spiderman movies.

Most people feel that women are not "attractive" outside of their looks (which serves to 'bite them in the butt' for being so dependent on their looks and sexuality themselves I suppose)- and I wouldn't consider myself outside of that majority. However there are a few women who have graduated beyond looks who actually do have "attractive" personalities and attributes (intellect, wit, sense of humor, talent etc..) which can compensate for looks- to a degree.

One of which I find myself semi-attracted to is Uma Thurman. I feel she defines "Woman". Such a multifaceted individual, she personifies 'attraction'.
