A question about moving and utilities?
Will Mass Electric allow you to switch on electricity in your new apartment while still keeping it on in the old one for a couple of days? Or do they expect you to shut it off in one and turn it on in the other?

I don't have Mass Electric, but when I moved they created another account for my new address and when I moved out i had to pay the final bill and it was closed. I had to notify the electric company of my vacate date and requested that on that date, the account closed.

Most of the time, when you move residences, you're basically opening a new account with the utilities companies. So just have them close your old account a few days after you open your new account.
