    Usually, bananas or almonds ( a toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich for the long runs) before a run and chocolate milk after.

    Its easy and full of good stuff for runners.

    I never eat anything special--I'm not training for races or anything, it's just sheer fun;

    Sure the usual carbs such as pasta and breads but unless you're doing a marathon, you don't have to have a special diet to run unless you're trying to lose weight and then it's moderation on all four food groups and a limit on the fats (but not denial).

    Running allows me to eat what I want without the guilt.

    k, so day before i love to eat my pastas. spaghetti, fettichini, whatever. on the day that i actually run, i try to stay away from spicy foods, and avoid chocolate. I also like to eat alot of fruits and veggies, and i drink alot of water. i really need to be hydrated when i run.

    Hummus, red peppers, carrots, pita bread and olive oil. Oh-I love low sodium V8 too.

    tennis players say pasta.

    runners say chocolate.

    I want not to go for any food, that may bother my stomach and don't give me concentration.
