Do Xbox 360 Cooling Fans Actually Work?

eh people say it works but its also messed up peoples 360's too. i dont have one. and you dont need one if u keep ur 360 in a well ventilated place where the heat can escape from all sides (i keep my 360 horizontally placed). i also heard that some ppls 360 actually got melted because of the fan (no joke), which is weird cuz a fan is suppose to cool it down, not melt it. plus the thing is too damn loud.

what u took fans off? wtf the fans work do u know how a fan works pointsing to the right the fan will suck air from the left p8ushing to the right pulling the air out. if u ever seen your parents turn the fans around in summer thats kind of why. hot inside but cool out side u turn the fan in the widdow the other way

and do u even knew what was wrong with your xbox? because 1 ring is not overheating ok 1 ring can be number of things like chip came lose dvd drive aint working bla bla bla

no dont keep the fan my intercooler once melted into the back of my 360. unless you got a whisper cooler built in fan, when you open up the case and install it, i say no fans unless WC.

I don't think it needs a fan, I've never had one. The built-in ones do the job just fine if you just have some open space around your xbox.

Review's are saying yes,keeps it cooler. But I heard it's really loud. And you can live without it.
