Would you adpot - Blind cat Savannah Snow?

In entry, you must know that I have a small cat behavior consultant company, working with my cats. Some comes with me to be pet in hospital (zootherapy, zooanimation), other comes in conference I give on feline behavior.

One of my customer, a breader, is offering me a superb 6 month old Savannah Snow (a Savannah but white with blue eyes). The only thing is that she as cataract and will probably be blind soon. She's fixed

We already have 3 cats and another one is coming soon. She would be well treated but I'm wondering IF SOMEONE HAS A BLIND CAT AND HOW IS HE/SHE DOING

I also want to know if there could be MEDICAL COMPLICATIONS with cataract infection. The breader said that his vet said there is nothing else behind that infection. What should I check for?

Just one cataract? If she would be blind in only one eye then yes I would take her but if she has cataracts in both eyes, I don't think I would. As much as I love cats this would be a lot to deal with.

Yes, dogs can make taurine from items in their diet, and cats cannot. Dog food does not contain taurine. So your cat will go blind, among many other ailments if your cat is fed only dog food. Whether it is two years or not, it will be slow, and your cat will suffer. The same reason applies to not feeding your cat a diet of human intended tuna rather than cat food tuna.

Speak to your own vet and seek advice as to what is the best thing to do.
