YES, it is safe to sleep.
Sleep on lots of pillows.
Don't panic. A broken nose looks terrible, but it can heal on its own.
Don't let anyone bump your nose. You could re-break it while it is healing.
Watch out for complications.
Symptoms of a broken nose include:
Nose pain.
Swelling of the nose.
A crooked or bent appearance.
Bruising around the nose or eyes.
A runny nose or a nosebleed.
A grating sound or feeling when the nose is touched or rubbed.
Blocked nasal passages.

I would suggest you go to the ER. You may have a concussion which is a more serious injury than a broken nose. If you have a bad concussion and go to sleep you may go into a coma. Though this is unlikely you can not rule it out until you are checked out. If your nose is broken and you do not get it looked at immediately, the bone may heal improperly causing complications later. In order to fix it they would have to break the bone again and the only thing worse than breaking your nose one is to have it broken a second time.

Go to an emergency room for an X-ray. We don't have a crystal ball on here to see your nose.

I would suggest seeing a doctor right away while the bone is still adjustable.
GOOD LUCK :)
