Parents, what would your first reaction be to this?

I found this photo online & when I saw it- it just begs the question above. Look it over and answer what your very first response would be if you walked into the room & saw your kids doing this............

http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm161/george00_...

Update:

Nice hardwood floor it appears and that used to be possibly a leather sofa. And if that isn't latex paint....oh, boy!!

Update 2:

On closer look, it appears to be carpeting instead of hardwood flooring

Update 3:

After reading all of these responses, it is going to be really hard to pick just one for a BA. Some of you have given me a good laugh with your responses. Thanks all for your responses so far.

First I would take a valium and a shot of the strongest alcohol in the house. Then I would smile through gritted teeth and put the babes in a tub filled to the brim with the most gentle solvent known to man. Then I would smack my husband upside the head for leaving paint out for the kids and hand him a sponge

    welllll

I hate to say it but.... they were doing work on the house.. notice the sheet in the background... so they left the paint (?) out and open obviously as I dont think either of the kids could have opened it by themselves had it been closed properly....

My first thought it.. turn off the tv and turn it on the screen side down so the paint (if still wet) will drip OUT of the speakers. I would also put some paint thinner on the couch cushion and hit up the company for a replacement cover. (most paint comes clean easily without disscoloration).

As to the kids once the paint dries it will come off easily. Paint is not really made to go on bodies, with our sweat and such it makes it very hard to stay on. However to ensure they can breath I would wash off a length from head to toe to ensure there is no cell degregation (death) from lack of oxygen.

Once dried I would get a loofa brush and let them play most of it off. I would then get those hard to reach places. I would also contact their DR to see what stripper can be used to get it off of them easier than just scrubbing.

Source(s): I dont panic much unles it needs it. I AM the perfection of the over protective dad.. so that would never happen with MY kids.. I wouldnt leave the paint around lol

I would get me a drink of milk, to calm down!

    Next Daddy phone call

I would call Daddy! Talk to him about it

Next Get the kids show them and talk to them

I would be very up set!! And would probally cry a little while talking to them about how upset Mommy is. The would probally end up in bed for a long nap!

I would think that they are too young to have started this all by themselves. An older child would have had to help them at least get the can open. Other than that its just one of those things that a kid might do.

After the first shock....I guess i'd have to laugh.

my jaw just dropped... I would pick them up and put them in the bath tub and then I would start screaming at my husband because I assume he would be the one who left the can of paint behind and would make him clean it all up. The kids look too young to be beat up over it though, I'd be more upset with the person who left the paint behind...

    I would absolutely freak out.

I sure wouldnt go get a camera like they did.

I do not leave my kids alone that long so they can do things like this so I have nothing to worry about but wow that is horrible.

poor mom probobly had a heart attack.

I would yell for my husband to come and pick it up while I bathed the children.

    what cute kids though.

I would wonder why I was dumb enough to leave kids that age unattended around paint. It took them a while to do this. The floor does look like wood.

HAHA I'd slap myself in the face for leaving that can of paint out with those little kids around and then I'd call poison control because they might have gotten some of it in their mouths. Then I'd clean that crud up.

I would be soo mad. It would be my fault for not watching them though! They're so young, what if they had ingested any? I would probably start laughing and crying at the same time if that happened.

They always say when kids are quiet there's something going on!

Oh, I saw something very similar with my own children.

They went next door where my neighbor had car paint. They got themselves, the fence and the driveway before I could stop them.

At least they did not paint the 3 cars in their driveway!

    Ugh!
