tens of thousands of layoffs have been announced today what are we going to do?

    Yes, this is terrible. I really feel for anyone who has lost their job. People have house notes, car notes other bills to pay. It is hard out here.

    Even harder, when you are unemployed. Then you are accuse of being on welfare and waiting for the Government to help you. The ones, that have don't really know what this feels like unless you are in that person's shoes. I pray that things, will get better.

    There is nothing any ONE person can do. This is the snowball effect of greed. Each company that is laying people off, is seeing a decline in PROFITS. Most of them are not at all threatened of completely going under. Some have of course, but MOST are simply ensuring that their 'bigwigs' can take their annual trip to Paris and buy their 15th Escalade. The pigs will soon get what they deserve though.

    I already got laid off a xmas, Eh there is nothing we can do except look for more work and untill then try if you can enjoy the most important things in life. Family and Friends

    Same thing we do when the tens of thousands of lay offs happened in the past....deal with it.

    All we can do is wait four years and elect a President who understands that the government cannot create economic prosperity.

    If you want more jobs, then we need to be doing things that encourage more capital investment.

    Good luck looking for jobs. It seems that everyone is downsizing or there is a hiring freeze.
