The Garden of Eden, Snakes?

Okay, you won't believe in evolution but you'll believe in a talking snake? What drugs was Eve smoking if she thought the snake was talking to her? Yeah........... How about this, knowledge is the golden apple and if you chop the apple horizontally you get a PENTAGRAM, to the nearest DEGREE! Its a shame 99% of you won't even know where I'm going with this...........

Update:

mushroom jesus is more right than any of you know.

The serpent represents knowledge gained through the sacred medicine. The serpent and the tree create the symbol the Caduceus, the symbol for medicine today. The serpent and the tree represent the enlightening medicine, a hallucinogenic mushroom also known as the Apples of Apollo (the greek god of medicine.) It's pure shamanism. The bible is heavily written from a gnostic perspective, Gnosticism considers the "God" guy that Christians worship the demiurge, who is just a dictator. Their escape from this dictator was through direct experience of the spiritual world through a forbidden fungus to gain knowledge/gnosis.

The serpent also represents the same thing as Jesus, just like when Moses puts the serpent upon the cross. Not this "satan" character as Christians have demonized their own savior. Look up an image of the "Staff of Moses" and there you'll see the serpent upon the cross creating a caduceus symbol, which is also why you often see the cross used in medicine as well.

The Garden of Eden is a story. It's a fantasy story. And it's OK to believe in the reality of the fantasy.

Jesus was the original hippy.... looks like you can relate.

The Serpent is identified as Satan.

If God can create the entire universe out of nothing then I would expect it would be a no brainer for an Angel (even a fallen Angel) to create the illusion of a talking snake in order to deceive Eve.

Yeah, but if you turn the apple round it goes from a pentagram to a pentangle

I know where exactly where you're going with this...you're going to look under your bed, which is where you keep the dope you've been smoking, and then probably draw some more little pentagrams onto your palms. You've been doing that since the ninth grade, I'm sure.

The Adam and Eve story goes back even further. Lilith was her mother supposedly.

    Folk stories.
