How much does the average Postal worker make a year?

I have a job but me and my coworkers will getting laid off sometime before summer so i was just curious, our mail lady told me to apply and she can help me get in shes been doing it for 15 yrs. also heard rumors saying its a hard job is it? i'll take it regardless i don't see anything hard about delivering mail.

    In order to be hired by the USPS, you have to take and pass an exam. You need to score at least 95 on the exam in order to have any hopes of getting hired. She can't "help you get in". Your score will determine whether or not you will be hired. The exam is not given very often, unless you are a military veteran. Currently the USPS is under a hiring freeze, and for the first time in history, there are talks of layoffs for personnel that do not have 6 years of service.
