What's in the stimulus package.?

Not a feeling, it's a fact.

It's all the pork projects that the democrats dusted off and put into this huge spend and tax program.

They have missed the mark completely.

The basic US economy is fine, low inflation (except for housing and autos - two items financed by consumers) high capital investment (machinery) good engineering, infrastructure, labor force.

Where things have gone wrong is in the banking industry, and this was created by residential mortgages and consumer credit being given to people based on stated income, or other hoaxes, and what's worse, the two government agencies being controlled by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd that were buying up stupid loan packages and promoting this collection of Mortgage Backed securities and obligations.

If the banking industry were not pushed into making stupid loans to begin with, none of this would have happened.

Thanks to the democrats, we have a financial crisis, and it's going to get worse with their spending program.

If they understood the economy, they'd realize that everything is in place to work fine EXCEPT the lack of funds to finance inventory, payroll, capital equipment purchases, etc. This is a BANKING crisis, not an overall economic crisis, but liberals are too stupid to understand that because they have no business knowledge, or understanding of how this economy works.

Write down all the toxic assets, get the banking business working as it used to work, with loans based on background reviews, proven ability to pay, etc., and we'd be fine. But no, the democrats think the solution is to spend spend spend on pork projects. They're the ones who created the banking mess with policies to promote loans to losers, and now they're creating a bigger crisis spending money faster than our economy can create it in the form of tax revenues.

Well the thing is No One knows what is in the stimulus package. It is over 1000 pages long and not one single congressman or senator had read the bill before voting on it.

During the campaign Obama promised that all bills would be published on an internet site and that everyone would be able to read and discuss it first.

Instead we have sneaky political maneuvering to slide in things undetected. You tell me . Politics at it's worst or change you can believe in.

it is loaded with crap.no way to know all of what is in it,but much of it,actually all of it was not needed. only good in it would be tax cuts,but without cutting the budget all it will create is more debt.we have lower oil prices,we have low interest rates,we did not need this,did you see that consumer spend was up already last month,that's why they had to push this through before people saw we were turning the corner

1075 pages are in it. NOBODY in the Congress who voted for it (or against it), have read it. How can anyone vote for something without reading it first?!!!!!
