Tattos of friend's names?
I want to a set of two lists with all of my close friends names on them tattooed on my left and right arm.On my right arm, I will get the names of all my close friends who are male and on the right, I will get a list tattooed of my close female friends. Do you think this would be a good idea? If so, how should I customize it or what kind of features should I add?

Wow, these must be some amazing friends you have...I wish we could all have friends as dear as those. I say this because, yes we love our close friends with all our hearts...but they are not always there in the long run. Sad but often true. If you feel that these people are truly worth having their names inked onto your body, that is your business. I would say that you could always cover them up in sleeve tats later on in the future if your friends don't stand the test of time.

That isn't a good idea. For all you know, some of them could NOT be your friends in awhile. Then you'll have their name tattooed on your skin. I think the point has been made: not a good idea. And anyway, if it were to be a big old list on each arm, it would look a bit trashy.

enh... not so much. I'm not sure you could do it without it looking like you tattooed your grocery list on your arms.
More importantly, what is to say that those friends will always be in your life? Things happen, relationships change etc
If you are set on a memorial per say for your friends. Think of something that symbolizes your relationship with each group (male/female) and have that tattooed on you; that way if things DO change you don't have peoples names on you forever. You could think of a discreet way to incorporate their initials etc in it.
ie Charlotte's web, have their initials written into the webbing.....

No no no no. Why would you do this?
The only names you should get tattooed on you are family members or people who are dead.
I have had friends who I thought were going to be a part of my life forever that I barely speak to any more. I wouldn't even get my husband's name tattooed on myself. Getting someones name tattooed on you who isn't bound to you by blood relation is the kiss of death for that relationship. Your mother might be pissed off if you get her name tattooed on you but she cannot stop talking to you. She's your mum! If your friends are weirded out by your name tattooed on them, they can just break off the friendship. And I can guarantee you there would be at least one person in your group of friends who would be creeped out by this idea. AT LEAST one.

That sounds like a terrible idea and it is indeed terrible. Unless you have ONE friend which will still be distasteful. Why tattoo their names even though they are your best friends..... It's just not worth it. If it's some sign which represents your group, that will still be alright but all their names....HELL NO!!

No that's not a good idea. Friends are always changing, even your closest ones. Maybe if you just got the name of your 1 closest friend. But not all of them though

Nooo! just imagine if you have hugh fight with them and you never speak to eachother again.. it is almost the same as the rule: NEVER EVER TATTOO A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND. you may also grow apart from them or what ever. i recomend to let your arm be alone, keep it nice and clean.. if you have a abslout need to have a tattoo on your arm, put on a flower or something.. just don't put someone's nam there.

just like the "getting your partners name" it's permanent. Will those friends be there a couple years from now? You could do something symbolic to represent all your friends..

That sounds ridiculous, but i will tell you what i tell everyone about name tattoos... get them in red (better yet white or yellow) and if it doesn't work out you can cover them with roses.

why would you do this? its not a good idea. this would be like getting your girlfriend/boyfriends name on you then breaking up in 2yrs...its permanent!! you can not wash it off later..
please think about this before you get it done
