Is my new cat pregnant...?

I found a cat a couple days ago who was homeless and looked approximately six months old. Being me, I just HAD to bring it home. Well, obviously I haven't had her spayed yet since I got her yesterday. I'm working on it. The only problem is, I think she might be .dun dunh dunh dunh... pregnant. I'm no vet (yes, I know I need to visit one to get the for sure) but her belly is kind of hard and is distended. I know cats and dogs can start procreating at a young age, but I can't get a vet visit for a couple of days... Is she pregnant or not? (Once again, yes I know only a veterinarian can give me a definite.)

Well she might have a bloated tummy from being outside and having no food.

OR since she WAS homeless and there are other cats out there it is very possible shes pregnant.

You should probably bring her to the vet anyway to check her up make sure she is in good health. And well your there ask if shes pregnant.

    Good luck!!

She probably is I found a young cat not even 1 yet who had a belly full of kittens. The way to tell if she's pregnant is to look at her nipples. Weird I know put that's how the vets do it, and it works. If the nipples are bigger than a normal cats nipples are that means she's pregnant.

Examine her tummy, and if she is you will be able to feel them move around under the skin, like marbles when touched(this is their heads)they can produce young at 6 months so theres a big chance that she is,signs are she will soon be nest building, looking in cupboards ect.you may have already noticed a big appetite that's another sign!

My Magic 8-Ball says ..... ask again in three weeks.

Or take her to the vet.

But yeah, she's probably pregnant. Make up your mind to spay her NOW or become a nanny to a litter of young'uns.

she is pregnant...its a givin I give you kudos for bringing her home...get your name in the humane society (no kill) now so you can give the kittens to them when they are weaned but tell them you want to keep the mama..they should give you a very good break on spaying her when she is done.
