Ideas for yeast free lunches?

I've only really got 1 recipe ... a cous cous salad with chicken , tomatoes mint persly onion.

Only just been told to avoid yeast so im new to all of this. Any good ideas? I've only got 30mins in the morning so it has to be quick (the salad above takes a bit of time so something really quick - i could cook the chicken and couscous the night before though)

I dont mind rye bread for toast , but its not nice at all for sandwiches...

Thank you for any suggestions.

I'm not allowed sugar either (not even fruit)

I hope you have some suggestions?

Thank you

    walnut cheese loaf:

1 ¼ cups cooked brown rice (½ cup raw)

    1 cup walnuts

    1 cup cheese*

    2 tsp lemon juice

2 cups onions (chopped and sautéed)

    2 eggs

    ¼ tsp salt

    1 tsp caraway seeds

    Instructions

Cook the rice if not already available. This takes about 40 minutes once the water is boiling.

    Preheat oven to 350°F

    Chop and sauté the onions.

Crush walnuts. A blender works well for this.

    Beat the eggs.

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Place in an oiled loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

    hummus:

    Ingredients

    1 can chick peas

1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)

    1/4 cup olive oil

    1/2 lemon

    3 cloves garlic*

    2 tbs. tamari* (choose a wheat-free brand)

    1/4 tsp chili powder*

    1 tsp curry powder*

    1 tsp sage*

    Directions

This simple recipe can be made by hand or in a food processor. The directions are for making it by hand. If you decide to use a food processor, use the directions below as a guide for the order in which you add the ingredients to the food processor. Turn the food processor on when the directions say mash.

Drain the chick peas, place in a medium-sized pot

Scrape off some zest (outer skin) from the lemon and add that.

Squeeze the lemon, add juice and pulp (but not seeds).

Add oil, tahini, and all optional ingredients except garlic.

Mash ingredients into a fine paste. A potato masher works well.

    Fry garlic until golden-brown.

    Add garlic and mix in.

    polenta

    quinoa tabouleh

    spinach-rice pot

    wheat-free bean sprout salad

    wheat-free stuffing

Bean salad (add a vinaigrette to a mixture of beans, toss in some onions)

Quinoa is a nice alternative to couscous

Biscuits or other quick breads that do not have yeast

My mom used to make "sandwiches" using big Romaine lettuce leaves instead of bread - with Dijon mustard and turkey. ... Rye bread makes the BEST sandwiches, but doesn't it have yeast in it??? You could buy some Matzo and use that for sandwiches ... Yogurt and cottage cheese (mix some chopped veggies in there)

Make a turkey wrap with lettuce and onion in a flour tortilla; no yeast.

Rye bread, by the way, DOES have yeast in it.
