My leased car was totaled in an accident and my insurance co. paid Ford leasing the full value of the car?

In the mean time I had sent the payment to Ford for this month, which they received 4 days ahead of when it was due and they processed it. Now I want that payment sent back to me since I shouldn't have to pay to lease a car that was totaled and ford got the money from the insurance co. What can I do? They don't seem to want to give it back to me.

First read your contract carefully. Then become more insistent.

You could sue, but would cost far more than the payment, small claims court, with you representing yourself.

Make sure that you sue the leasing company - which is probably not Ford.
