how much has life changed since high school?
When I was in h.s back in late 80's. I was an average (C) student. I went to parties and yes I drank underage quite a bit, concerts, had a lot of friends and a lot fun, I wouldn't change most of it.
I just wish I would of been a better student.
These days I'm married with two kids, I work quite a bit and plus it's on night shift, I don't drink except for once in a long while, I only see my friends about once a year. I rarely go to concerts.
Boy how life has changed. I've made myself depressed.
My wife and I don't see each other all that much because she works days and like i said I work nights and my days off alternate every other week.

Sounds to me that you enjoyed high school more than you have enjoyed being married. You don't say you are happy in your life now, thinking of the past and the good times have made you depressed.
For me to answer your question, I would say my life has changed since high school, like everyone or most everyone you grow up and you grow apart from that part of your life. You are a lucky one who still sees old high school friends and that don't happen for everyone. I am happy in the life I am leading now with the exception of financial problems. I wouldn't change anything from my past, BUT I treasure my present and future more. My family I have right now are more important to me than to sit and dwell on the past and miss the past.
Everyones life must change at some point, whether it is good or bad, things always change. You just don't seem happy in the life you have now. Your family and or marriage must not be satisfying to you if you want to come on here and say you have made your self depressed. Your own answer to your question was not an answer whether these changes were good. Is it fair to your spouse, that you talk this way, what if the person see's it and thinks they do not make you happy?

although i was in high school until '92, i still do not feel old, although some of the youngns that i work with do no agree.
i too am married with two kids, and with that comes the financial responsibilities so we work as much as we possible can. i have pulled a 145 hour pay period in the past, i am not sure if i could do that again though. i drink at home after work, but rarely in excess. my divorce party was a different story. i am usually found in one of three places home work or in my car in transit to and from either.

yea it sure has. i just graduated in 2008 but i already feel the like like is pretty bland. i use to party alot and hang with my girls every weekend, go to work more and have fun it just seems like when i look back all isee is cheerful smiles now i just go to a community college dont have many friends the ones i do are a little annoying and i have a boufirnd he keeps my life happy. not to add its winter.

yeah, i understand, but atleast you've enjoyed it and you've learned from it, look at the brighter side, everybody experiences that but it's just a matter of learning from it,.. not about all the what if's
