Why can't Republicans just be less aggressively pessimistic?
Give stimulus a chance. Give change a chance. Give the stock market a chance. Why try to predict what things will be like 4 years from now? (Heck, the world could end tomorrow....)
If Obama and the Dems are wrong, we'll see. If they're right, we'll see. At the present time, it's out of our hands anyway. Maybe y'all need to "chillax" a bit. Or, if you're really upset, email your elected representatives and tell them so. Pick a candidate for mayor or state Congress in your area, and work for him/her. Just quityer_itchin". Your candidate lost--by a lot! People wanted change from Bush. S, now we work hard, pray, and keep our eyes open.

It all comes down to fear.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of Change.
They just want things to go back to the way they were and live their happy little lives in whatever sheltered little place they are.
With all the upheavals going on they are scared to death and so strike out at the nearest thing, that would be fellow Americans who do not share their views.

What is "aggressively pessimistic"? Let me clear something up for you. When Bill Clinton was in office taking a "wait and see" approach was fine. He had his own agenda and the Republicans had their own agenda. The way it went then and has always gone in America, the two factions debate, horse trade and compromise producing a product everyone can agree on and thus, nothing too radical as to be dangerous.
But that is not the situation now. This President has no intention of compromising with anyone. His agenda is the most radically Liberal ever in the History of America. He has signed more Executive Orders than any other President in his first two weeks. He and the Liberal Democrats have forced the single most Massive Spending Bill in the History of American down every ones throats without even allowing us to know what was in it. They now are passing a 410 billion dollar Omnibus spending bill that has over 5,000 earmarks in it.
They are poised to radically degrade the First Amendment and the Second Amendment as well as cut the Defense Budget by 25%. They are Nationalizing the Banking system, taking over the Automobile industry, installing a system that empowers Labor Unions to bully their way into more and more companies by eliminating the workers right to a secret ballot and this is only in the first 30 days.
If something is not done by us to try to stop this, come 2012 this will not be America anymore. This Administration seems awfully aggressive to me. Yet, you think the Republicans, who can do little but refuse to go along, are the aggressive ones.
Heaven help us!

You must mean like Dems were on the surge? Stimulus=pork. Change, is all your paycheck will be worth when he's done, the stock market is already showing you the future of Barak Hussein Obama's presidency.
My candidate may have lost, but 56 million Americans didn't vote for YOUR candidate so I would say the "mandate" is still out.
Please revisit this question 4 years from now when you're standing in line for food because all the jobs are gone.

When the government gives you money, there are always strings attached. He wants to cut the budget deficit, great! But there are only two ways the government can balance the budget. Cut Spending or Raise Taxes. He wants to raise taxes on the rich. The "rich" only make up 10% of the population whereas the low and middle income make up 85%. Who do you think the goverment can get more taxes dollars from? The rich, who have high prices lawyeres and off shore accounts. Look at what happened the $350 Billion the congress gave the banks to "bail" them out. CEO's went on a spending spree while their employees got pink slips.

The reason were so pessimistic is becasue some of the reasons alot of people voted for him were all turning out to be lies. Transperency, Yeah NO, change, sure into a socialist country that will debt you, your children, and your grandchildren, ATLEAST.
We don't know if this will work, for all of our sakes I believe we all hope it will, because the consequences to to great. And alot of people do work for their local government, so does that mean they have a good right to *****, considering they are working in the system. Because I know that I want to know where my hard earned dollar is going. And I sure hope 2 million dollars isn't used for the study of swine smell, or other pork like that.
Obama has his chance now, he has already blamed Bush for everything, but no one has come out to blame Clinton for signing NAFTA, hence by by jobs here. So lets hope he does well because in 2010 the house will be republican, and he wont be able to push any bill that no one reads through. He has to do well, for his and our sakes.

Obama has blown 100billion of the United States taxpayers money...on...saving the auto industry. Is Obama a business genius and no one was aware of it?
The stock market has been tanking since Obama took office. Theres no reason to give it a chance. The stock market is down for a reason. Its down because of increasing debt...the US citizen can not afford.
They are wrong. Their idiots. Why say stupid crap like...give the stimulus a chance? Give me and my children my $25,000 dollars back or resign.
Socialist programs..are nice...and dandy. Yes, they would be a good idea for any society. But the problem is...when you cant afford your credit card bill how can you afford to give the government $25,000 dollars of your money? It really doesnt make sense...dear.
Use your head...or vote for the end of sufferage.

Laisez Faire or administration financial gadget it extremely is the query. i'm a believer that the marketplace will allocate supplies in the superb way, yet Governments might desire to have a hand on the Tiller to be certain vast employer would not journey tough shod over the social wellness and wellness of its human beings. employer regulation is a needed evil otherwise we are able to have greater ENRONs, Petrol Refinery failures, Hatfield prepare crashes, Bopal's, etc etc. purple Tape is undesirable, yet minimum wellness & risk-free practices standards are good. minimum wages are annoying to call, yet directors multi million pay offs for non overall performance are undesirable. Capitalism canpersistent good issues like invention, ambition, a artwork ethic etc, yet may additionally bring about greed and a disassociation from community, on the same time as communism is a gorgeous concept it extremely is shown to be fundamentaly floored via human nature. i might recommend that social capitalism is a sparkling way - working annoying to learn no longer in basic terms you and yours, yet those on your community. You on no account are conscious of it would capture on....

Actually you should have a healthy hint of skepticism when it comes to the government. Being a bunch of Pollyanna's is dangerous.
And for the THOUSAND TIME it is NOT Obama and the Dems, as if we have a monarchy. Obama is an elected official and he has a job title called the President. He represents every citizen in the United States as his role as ,the president, NOT because he is Obama.
GOT IT?!?!

Not a republican.
Didn't like Bush.
But the proposed budget is irresponsible and will have dire effects.
The national debt increased just over $4trillion over the last eight years. (not including the bank bailout and 'stimulus' fiascoes) And the current budget proposal will do that in two years.

"We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong ... somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises ... I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started ... And an enormous debt to boot!"
