Difference in Battery Charge? Trickle charge, fast charge?
On the smart chargers for NiMH batteries, what is the difference between the trickle and fast charge setting? Obviously, I understand that one will charge faster than the other, but what is the purpose of this feature? Is it to eliminate the amount of heat being created in the charging of the battery?

Trickle charging will extend the life of the battery, if you fast charge something the battery life is droped by like 2% (or so) each time you do it.

better for the battery to slow (trickle) charge for longer life.
