Free state tax prep online?
does anyone know an online site that prepares free STATE only taxes online for free - there are lots of them that do both federal and state for free but makes you put in the federal stuff first. THANKS

The only sites I know of that may offer such a service, depending on which state you need to file for, is the state tax site itself.

Check with your state's Dept. of Revenue and see what they have.
The majority of the time, each state has it's own e-file service. However, there are some states that require you to file your federal and state at the same time. Your best bet is to start with the Dept. of Revenue.

Go to irs.gov you should be able to file federal and state free. Most can file free if they fall in the income level, if not they don't charge as much as most companies locally do.
