my friend of 11 years is so unpredictable we cannot even have a normal relationship. i've gotten to the point i feel i do not even love him as a human (i know sounds bad) but it's frustrating and my response is to react - for example: he's always coming to my house, by my house, coming into my home, uninvited, anytime, for any reason, and makes himself at home. i really don't like it, and have expressed this, but not pressured about it. BUT, when i went to his home unexpectedly to take him some food b/c he said he was sick, he started yelling behind the closed door that he wasn't dressed, blah blah, screaming like a wild man. i walked away and didn't turn back. went home and tried to forget it. my feelings were hurt but i was mostly mad. he didn't even call to check on me until the next night. what a jerk - what was really wrong with this man????????

i have a new HDTV but three older sets which would probably require the converters.

i want to set up all my tvs without satellite dish or cable services so that i can get local channels

and anything else i might be able to get on these sets. looks like i need an antenna, but not sure how it would work for all the tvs or if each tv needs something special or different. help.

i rent a house. for the past 2 weeks the electric has been out. it started out that only half the plugs would work and the furnace that heats the house didn't work at all. but i was able to use space heaters and close off the rest of the house to stay warm in one room. the utility company and workers are dragging their feet trying to fix it, but in the meantime i'm freezing and i'm really inconvenienced. last night the utility company put a priority on helping me, but they had me waiting til midnight and they didn't come, i ended up sleeping with no heat of any kind last night. i am a very nice guy and don't want to push anyone. what should i do, and what should i have done? is it appropriate to ask the landlord to oversee everything and put me in a hotel until it's final? what to do?

i have a nice hd tv at home, flat panel, etc., but i don't want to use any cable or network service. can someone recommend a good rooftop antenna and give me some clue as to where and how to get this so i can watch tv without all the extra expense and hassle? thanks

My relationship of 9 years went from dating, to living together / engaged, separated living apart, living together again, engagement called off, and now dating/friends. It's a good day when we can call ourselves friend. Here's one of the issues that I let keep us apart: He wants to start reengagement and live together again, but won't commit to my familly. My little girl is sick today and he is off work, I have a new job and he himself told me there's no way I can stay home with it, it's a stupid idea. However, I asked him to stay home with her and said NO. As usual. How can I explain to him that I can't commit to a relationship/partner who isn't willing to help out with family matters.

while trying to reinstall a clean copy of Windows XP Pro (due to a virus) twice the system froze at about 12% but the third time it got all the way to about 52%, then died. now i cannot get anything except a message that says "Error loading operating system" and although I have the original OS disks, they will not load the OS any further. is there some program on the internet that will fix this? HELP

my 15 year old son just told me in a quiet voice so no one would hear that his father didn't have any money for christmas gifts because he was paying (ME) too much child support and that he didn't even have any groceries....blah blah blah. this man has been playing mind games with my kids for years and has brainwashed them into thinking that i personally have made his life hell because he pays me child support. how do i turn this around

i keep getting msgs for someone else from this number but you can't call it back and the message doesn't give the company or callers identification: there's no way to ask them to stop. i've reported it several times to the national do not call registry, nothing is working. does anyone know who this is or how to stop it?

my refurbished computer was sent to me with another warranty and a set of restart discs. except months down the road when i had to actually use them to install software, they now tell me they are not compatable. also, my router has gone APESHIT and used to work fine. now every 10 min it disconnects and my program defaults won't stay on Microsoft setting. WTF? help
