What's the difference between a "right," a "privilege" and an "entitlement?"?

It seems like our Congress has lost sight of the meaning of these 3 simple words...

Rights are things that are guaranteed.

    Privileges are not

Entitlements are privileges that people believe they have a right to have.

Democrats and some Republicans have blurred the lines between all 3.

Yes they have, I believe it's because the education system in this country has lost sight of the meaning and scope of those three words also, meaning that the populace at large are not sure where one ends and another begins.

JD Is that a your entitlement or Obama's?

It is different depending on who you ask.....there are SO MANY(sarcastic) gray areas. GHEESH I just don't know myself....lemme take a stab.

Right....The right to own and bear arms.

Privilege......You have the privilege to drive that car ONLY with a LICENSE and PROPER INSURANCE.

Entitlement.......I am PO' so I am entitled to have Obama pay my Mortgage(rent), utilities, and fill my caddy with gas!

Obama has the right to kiss my butt and it would be my privilege to watch him do it.

I have the RIGHT to spend my pay check on what I want without Obama taking a huge tax portion of it to pay for illegals that think the have the PRILEGE to be here for free.
