My cat will NOT stop licking herself!!!!?

My cat has been dx with being obstipated; which is 10 times worse than constipated. I have to give her several cat enemas to help her go. Anyways, she is very young and to the point where she is excessively cleaning her anal area. She literally has no more hair around her anus and vagina (And she is a medium length haired cat). What should I do? I tried wiping it thinking it wasn't clean enough....but that was not the reason. I don't want to take her to the vet cause that will cost $....which all of us don't have right now because the economy is so bad! Do I put one of those cone things around her neck????

Update:

Thanks for the responses. They are all great! It is just me and her living together....my mom and dad pay for everything for me. I currently am not working (college) so it is hard for me to ask for extra money from mom and dad while they are supporting me and themselves.

Update 2:

In addition, the enemas I am giving her are Rx enemas that I picked up from the vets office. The vet has been KIT with me regarding this issue. So, they are not "people" enemas I am giving her. They are 100% safe Rx from her doctor....

It sounds like you and your cat are pretty miserable. You should not be giving a cat enemas. She may have Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome. You need to get her off whatever cat food she is on now. Try to convert her to a raw diet. Get her to the vet.

Irrespective of the economic crisis, you should take her to the vet. She could have something seriously wrong with her, and trust me, you'll deeply regret it if it turns out she had something which could've been prevented by a simple veterinary visit. Until you do manage a vet visit, I suggest that yes, you put the collar on her.

I don't mean to offend you, but as a general rule to all pet owners, I believe if you can't afford to have a pet (in relative financial comfort), then don't have one. It's selfish and cruel.

I think you should really go to the vet.

it can be an infection i know it will cost a lot but start saving money for your cat .

    Good Luck :]

    hope I helped .
