You may as well ask to see love or to touch love. You cannot truly do these things of course, but I rest assured that love is real.

    Hope that helps.

    I'm not a Christian but I thought I'd help.

A Christian will tell you that it comes down to faith. You can certainly touch God, but you have to believe in Him first. This is referred to as "feeling the spirit" or religious ecstasy. The thing is -- Christians aren't the only ones with this behavior! Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, etc. all have some form of religious ecstasy.

A Christian scientist (NOT a creation scientist) will tell you that the proof of God comes from a paradigm, i.e. the more you learn about how the world works around you the more you see God's design/plan. For the Christian scientists I've met, this is good enough for them, and much better than faith alone. (Bet you didn't think of Christians using _real_ science to confirm their faith, eh?)

Of course, this does nothing to prove the existence of the Christian god. I'd argue that using science to confirm "design" or "plan" for the universe opens up the door for ANY god.

I have to say I think your question is a good question, a fair question and an honest question. But let me ask you this: what kind of proof would you accept that God is? That His promises are true? You say you want physical proof. Well, I can't give that to you. It's by faith that we accept there is a God.

But I can tell you that God can give you all the proof you need, that you can trust Him and His word as true, if you really want it. Ask Him to show you, get into a bible study with an open heart. There is so much proof to the person who truly seeks! I pray that you can find this answer, and soon.

  • Go to a church or place where they are having a genuine revival, and the presence of the Holy Spirit can be so strong, that many non-believers become aware of His presence. There are some churches around where you can experience this. But it will quite likely change your life.

I remember going to a school christian holiday camp, and presence of God in terms of his purity was manifest and people literally could not help shaking.

At other times I have experienced the Spirit being so tender, that one had a real revelation of the most intense love.

Another time I got tickled inside my physical heart; there appear to be nerves there, although I've never heard doctors say that. It caused me to uncontrollably laugh. Like your mum tickling your feet or side, but much more intimate.

Some facts you can touch today and others you need to read about in history books.

I watched men land on the moon on TV while it was happening.

Perhaps you are too young for that, but when it happened it was mind blowing.

So today you have to read about those facts in books.

And you'll have to listen to those who are older who remember that night Christmas Eve, 1968 better than we remember last month's Superbowl.

Unlike others who have answered this question, I'm going to tell you the truth, truth that I am aware of perhaps only because I've studied this more than the others who have answered so far.

Christianity is based on those same kind of facts and the fact is that Jesus was born to a Virgin and He died on a Roman Cross and then 3 days later He rose from the dead and Jesus is still alive today.

The resurrection of Jesus is the best documented fact from Antiquity.

The New Testament was written by witnesses who attest to the fact that Jesus rose from the dead. In fact the Apostle documented that over 500 different people saw Jesus alive at one time.

At the time he was writing that, he said most of them were still alive at the time.

80% of the world's hospitals, built prior to World War 2 were built by Christians.

    Why did they dio that?

Because they believe that Jesus rose from the dead and they were obediant to Jesus' Command, "Love your neighbor".

The guys who wrote the Bible aren't the only ones who wrote about Jesus. There are something like ten other historians who were not Christians who wrote about Jesus.

I'm not a historian, so I can't give you the whole list, but I know of two:

Flavious Josephus who was a first century Jewish historian.

Tacitus who was a first century Roman historian.

In addition as I've studied the Science about creation vs. evolution.

The real Science and believe me it shows that the world is much younger than Evolutionists are telling us.

For example Astronomers tell us that the Sun is shrinking at the rate of about 5 feet per hour.

Do the math, how many years ago would it have been when our Sun would have been so large it would have burned up the earth?

Last New Year's Eve, Astronomers added another leap second to the clock to recognize that the earth is slowing down, due to friction from tides, slowing down how fast it spins on its axis.

24 leap seconds have been added to the clock in the last 37 years.

Do the math on that. How long was a day 6,000 years ago?

How long was a day 60,000 years ago?

How long was a day 600,000 years ago? 6,000,000 years ago?

I have built an Excel Spreadsheet which does the math.

The Nasa Astronauts who went to the moon put laser reflectors on the surface of the moon so we know that the moon is getting 2 to 3 cm. per year further away each year.

So at 2 cm. per year, do the math, how long ago was the moon scrapting the snow off the top of Mount Everest?

Girl, sorry to disappoint you, but you have a very wrong view of God.

You can't even see Him, nevermind touch Him. He is a spiritual being.

Unfortunately for you, you will never get the evidence or "proof" you require if that's your views. Belief in God is on faith, just like the belief that there isn't a God is on faith.

Read the New Testament and open your heart. After that, see how you feel.

I'll be honest with you. When I was little I wanted proof too. In fact at one point in my life I stopped believing and told my mom I didn't want a religion. She sat me down and asked me to close my eyes. Then she asked me to think of a happy place. I did, it was an awesome place. She asked me to pick out the spot I felt most comfortable with and I chose. She asked me what made that spot more comfortable than any other spot. I couldn't explain it my happy place was near a water fall and I felt more comfortable there for no reason. It was just natural. When I told her that se told me asked me what felt more natural not sounded natural, but felt natural. The idea that some one out there made us and loves us and gives us purpose or that we are all just accidents that the universe has. I still argued with her, but when I went camping with my friends family I swam in a lake and it felt natural. It doesn't take faith to feel what is right. It doesn't take a religious person to know what feels natural. Just think about it. You can go out side and lay in the sun and feel natural there or see little fish swim in a lake. It just is what it is. You can believe it or not.
