Why do you want to move from Capitalism to Socialism?

For those of you who want to move from capitalism to socialism need to look at socialist paradise called Cuba. There are a lot of escape boats going from there to Florida but not too many travel in the opposite direction.

I don't want that move. Capitalism only works when people that WANT to be successful can do so. Socialism will work in this country for those who just want to get "something for nothing". When, not if, WHEN we become the United SOCIALIST States of America you will see those who work hard, pay our taxes, etc., plummet in our want or drive to better ourselves and better our world. Why would I want to build a successful business, which would hire others and earn them and I a good solid income, only to have that solid income stolen from me to give to the welfare state that is coming? I wouldn't.

Whatever happened to "Be the best you can be". It's being left by the wayside in this socialist state.

Get educated.. in a recession your suppose to raise taxes and lower government spending. So although you have a point about Obama not helping the recession, it is not the taxes. It is his spending problem. And I'd rather step towards socialism than Anarchy, which is what we would have with 4 more years of Bush.. wow

The U.S. is a mixed capitalist country. It is Socialist in some aspects and capitalist in others. A pure socialist economy is nothing more than state controlled capitalism.

I'm past that. I'm already thinking about how the GOP is going to clean up Obama's mess and move us back to Capitalism from quasi-Socialism.

If you are in Washington it's better. As for the rest of us talk to someone from Eastern Europe.
