the 1992 Civic SI has rear disc brakes.
disc brakes use brake pads and rotors (also called discs) in place of drum brakes which use brake shoes and brake drums. So your question is probably asking if you have rear disc or rear drum brakes. The answer is that the 1992 Civic SI has rear disc brakes. The front are disc brakes as well.

Drum brakes. Changed them myself on my 93 civic. Many civics of that model year may have been changed over to disc brakes with conversion kits - this is a popular modification to this car.

All 92 civics have rear drum brakes.
