The church said it may make things worse if they continue to only advertise condoms WITHOUT informing the public about AIDS. Look at the entire thing my friend.

If someone is going to perform an action that can potentially cause an evil, there must be some good commensurate with that evil that the action will necessarily bring about.

Both partners would need to foresee a good that could arise from intercourse that is commensurate with the potential evil of a long and miserable death for the endangered spouse. I do not deny that such a good could arise--the birth of a healthy child, for instance--but that good would be greatly hindered by the use of a condom. In addition, the risk of that child being born with HIV would have to be taken into account. If the good of the life of that child amounts to less than the evil of (A) the potential death of the spouse, and (B) the potential death of the child, then intercourse would be immoral. If the reverse is true, then intercourse would be morally permissible, although it would not be *advisable*.

The only remaining factor to consider is the biological desire for sex. This ought to be recognized within the context of the human person as a whole. Man's dignity demands that his sexual drive be subordinated to his intellect; sex exists for the sake of man, not man for the sake of sex. If a man fails to so put himself in order, the sexual act will rarely, if ever, be a moral act.

Now, regarding the situation you describe: if it were me in such a position, I think I would conclude that intercourse with my wife would be immoral. This would stand true regardless of whether or not I wore a condom; *any* chance of infecting my wife is still *some* chance. Pax!

Of course you should tell your wife that you are HIV positive. You should have told her before you got married and definitly before you may have put her at risk contracting it. Your church said that you should stop using condoms?! You should definitly not stop using condoms if your WIFE is not infected. You need to be up front and honest with her. She is your WIFE. you know...lifetime partner thing. And using condoms would make what worse? Trying to have kids is the only thing I can think of. It is absolutly irresponsible to knowingly put another human being at risk for an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) I hope you will make the right desision and take responsibility and be honest. Good Luck

It is totally wrong to stop using condoms if you are HIV positive. HIV is horrid and to spread that to a loved one is cruel. At this point, who cares about the church if you're putting your wife's safety in risk of danger. If you are pathetic and low enough, stop but I suggest other wise.

Uh, ya you should probably tell her if you have HIV. If you give it to her and don't tell her you have it, you could spend the rest of your days in a court. If you are not going to use condoms, stop having sex. It is not fair to your wife if she has to live with your mistakes. Just be honest.

Telling the actuality is continually the right component, yet no longer continually the sensible component. even if, on your case, it became the sensible component to do. Why? because you doubtlessly stopped a mendacity cheat in his tracks. This guy ought to've persevered to have affairs and lie to different unsuspecting women persons. This habit damages lives and motives unnecessary discomfort. He ought to've ultimately been stuck besides. think ofyou've got prevented numerous turmoil by doing what you probably did. though who's conscious. human beings like this nonetheless do their component no be counted the consequences. a minimum of now he's dealing with what he advantages. to boot, now your moral sense is clean because you advised the actuality. this is his fault if his family individuals is ruined and others suffered. he's the jerk off it truly is to blame, no longer you. If he ought to've been dedicated or a minimum of advised you the actuality initially, none of this can've got here about. You had each and every precise to inform his spouse about his agency, because you've been fascinated with it.
