    Eh... Pooh Bear??

I always thought his name was "Winnie" or "Pooh"...

Because he is WINNIE the pooh. And I guess a "pooh" is something that looks like a golden bear that loves honey.

OR his name is "Pooh" cause that's what all his friends in the 100 Acre woods call him. "Hey, Pooh..."

But I know the boy's name is Christopher =)

    Best of Luck

Seriously, I remember from the books them making a point that he was really Winnie _ther_ Pooh, but that's not what you mean. Just as America had its Smokey the Bear, a cub who was found after a forest fire -- a real one I remember when the old bear died -- so Canada had a cub who was found after a fire in Winnipeg, was named Winnipeg, and ended his/her life at the London Zoo where Christopher Robin Milne, a real boy, saw her and named his Teddy Bear after her. His father was A. A. Milne, who took the bear's name for the bear in his books, just as he used Christopher Robin's name, as he had when writing the poems in "When We Were Very Young". I don't know if Christopher Robin named it pooh bear. I know he named a swan pooh.
