How do I clean a glass top stove?
I have tried easy off glass top cleaner and no luck. Not sure what else to buy. I have residue on it and also stains from everyday use. Please help.

OxyClean is the best thing I've found to take off the burnt crud. Sprinkle some on, add some water (or diluted vinegar), wait a couple of minutes, and a good scrub will take it right off!

Here's some things that I've found work real well on my ceramic top stove. I cook a lot and my stove top really takes a beating!
1. Use a microfiber cloth with nothing more than hot soapy clean dishwater for most spills. The microfiber cloth out wipes anything else and doesn't leave streaks.
2. Wipe things up as they happen. Keeps them from getting burned on.
3. I have a steamer that works great to clean 80% of the stuff off. I've got one of those Shark steamers that a canister with a hose and it really generates the steam! Pair that with one of the microfiber cloths and it will remove anything grease based.
4. For the really nasty stuff; I use a little Barkeeper's Friend. It's a powdered cleanser that's not harsh but will scour off the burned on stuff. I dampen the area, sprinkle some on and let the product work for 10 minutes or so. Then I go back with a no-scratch scrubber and polish it off. Then I hit the area with the microfiber cloth to get rid of the residue and anything the sponge/scrubber left.
If worst comes to worst, you can take a razor blade and gently scrape off a burned area but I hesitate to do it because I'm afraid of scratching the surface.

I sprinkle on some baking soda, with a wet sponge I clean up all the mess. Then I use a microfiber cloth to buff the entire area. Fast, cheap, and effective.

Try white vinegar and a drop of dish detergent and see if that does it, vinegar is usually very good for cleaning glass .
Rinse with a clean cloth and luke warm water,

Have to disagree with Tamara99. I love mine! I use Barkeeper's Friend on mine if I've burned something on it. Always does a great job with minimal elbow grease. After I've rinsed it, I dry it with a clean towel and it shines like new.

Razor blade. These stoves were a terrible idea. You can't use most of your cookware, they take too long to heat up and to cool down, and are a pain in the a to keep looking nice.

if food has stuck, use a window scraper , the one with the razor blade in it, also make up a spray of water and baking soda, add a little ammonia in it , spray on and wipe dry
