Why do humans deserve to control the planet?

You're suffering from a delusion that there is some agency, being or authority outside of humanity that can make choices for planet Earth. Humans don't have delusional ideas about how things should run, they simply have ideas that they put into practical effect. How do we scar a planet? A planet is a rock in space that doesn't give a damn about itself. You're suffering from a very common problem within the environment movement: anthropomorphism. The only beings concerned about the fate of Earth are human beings. The Polar bears maybe are going extinct but I guarantee they haven't thought about it at all. The question isn't do humans deserve to control the planet, but what to do since humans do control the planet.

"Why do humans deserve to control the planet?"

1) Because we can.

2) Because we are the most advanced form of life on the planet.

3) Because any other species would do EXACTLY the same thing if they could. They already do. Beavers rip down trees to dam rivers. Ants build colonies that can create huge landscape damage. Locusts swarm and destroy thousands of acres of plant life. Hell, we owe the ENTIRETY of our modern existence to our early photosynthetic ancestors that altered the atmosphere of the entire planet - taking it from mostly water vapor, CO2, methane, ammonia, and nitrogen with virtually NO free oxygen (O2) at all to one of the very nitrogen and oxygen than you and I breathe today. You don't consider that scaring the planet? Life, unicellular life at that, made the planet livable for us by altering the very chemical composition of the air and water, but we're a 'disease?' Do you fault them?

4) Because our ancestors chose to walk upright where others did not.

How, in what manner could humans EVER control the planet? If we set off enough nukes to destroy ourselves 100 times over we would hardly be a belch in terms of the Earth.

Humans wanted to be God (controller) , they envied God and therefore were not eligible to stay in the spiritual world and fell down to the Earth. God does not force no one. He arranged for them to have a place to try to control it. but this kind of control is against human nature. spirit of humans has a function and that is to serve God and be controlled by God. that is why humans leave scares on the face of the planet. They really aren't God and they are illusion-ed by their own desire to think that they are God.

Higher self-control intelligence at least the potential...some people don't know how to live as a human being...Anyways...The laws of the Universe says we get it...Why complain?? It's the most beautiful and smartest choice.

Earth is billions of times more powerful than the entirety of the human race.

Because of our manipulative abilities. Our opposable thumbs in combination with our brain power leaves other species a pale second in comparison.

It is a simple explanation. We are the strongest and most intelligent species, and there is no one to stop us. There is no other species on the earthcan compare to our knowledge. Basically, the strongest and smartest always prevails. There is no one to stop us, so we continue. So is life.. Can't cry about it.

Because God gave us this planet to care for. He gave us free will so we can actually live life.

We are not looking after the planet, but this is a conscious choice we make.
