I was wondering since I got adopted by my stepdad how I could get my hs diploma and associate's degree with my new name on them?

You can't. Your diplomas reflect the name you had at the time you earned them - they don't give you a different one because your name changed later. You just need to hold on to your change of name information so that they can check that you are the same person who used to be whatever name you were then.

Remember that this isn't an unusual occurrence. I've had people in my high school class get married and divorced five times since we graduated. No one will give them a new diploma because their name changed each time.

If you were to lose your diploma, you could get a duplicate from your school or college. But it would be just that - a duplicate, identical to the one you got in the first place.
