Bringing on the Tax Increases.. in Obama's new stimulus bill is dramatic increases in taxes..agree?

here is the new tax agenda.....

if you make more than $500,000 - your taxes increase by 36%

if you are single and make more than 250,000 - your taxes increase by around 19%

if you are married and together make above 300,000 - taxes increase by 19%

if you make abot 65,000 - your taxes WILL INCREASE by about 6% i believe...

what do you guys think of this sneaky tax increases that was signed in the spending bill late last night??

Update:

it shouldnt matter if you make that much money.. you rightfully earned that money why should they take more? it isnt fair practice..it should be an apportioned tax even for every individual

Update 2:

Limbaugh...the numbers may be slightly off for the % because i didnt write it down in time but everyone over $65,000 is going to have a tax increase

Update 3:

for those who think i am lying..why would i? just look at your checks in a few months you will see the damage.. and everyone tha says no no no.. he is not cutting 95% of the populations taxes.. well that is another campaign promise he broke...wake up guys

Update 4:

Obama said he is cutting taxes for 95% so that means it MUST be right lol... foolish my friend..open your eyes please

    If your numbers are right........

    It's wrong, wrong ,wrong!!!!!!!!!

People can debate this all they want, I don't care. The fact is that we live in America, where we should work hard and reap the benefits. WE DON'T.

About six months ago I made a budget for myself. I say six months because I am very frugal with my money and don't need to set limits on MY spending.

Anyway to make this short I bought a modest home, make an ok living and am VERY resposible financially. Well, I couldn't figure out why my bank account wasn't growing at an enormous pace(since I make more than I spend).

It turns out after income taxes, property taxes, BASIC living expences, ie; everything it takes for me to wake up and go to work 5 days a week- I ONLY RECIEVE 18% OF MY INCOME!!!!! 18%!!!!! I GET UP EVERY MORNING AND GO TO WORK SO THAT I CAN GET 2 DAYS OF PAY!! ooohhhh!!!!!!

WHY BOTHER, MY MONEY IS ONLY GOING OUT THE DOOR TO PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T WORK FOR IT!!!

Sorry this was so long, I am just really mad. I did EVERYTHING right, THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY TOLD ME!!!

The banks stored the money and offered different banks extremely of loaning it to customers like they have been meant to do. It did no longer help that the democratic controlled congress did no longer positioned any oversight on the bailouts till it hit the information and congress made adjustments to the 2d around of bailouts. however the money nevertheless did no longer get out into the final economy,it went to pay bonuses and prop up financial employer salary returned. super businesses had greater good hardship getting loans and small corporation replaced into fortunate in the event that they'd even carry on with for a private loan. end result, they had to layoff workers just to attempt to stay in corporation and shrink different expenses as much as possible. Now many businesses have surplus salary and did some hiring, yet many have stopped hiring as a results of uncertainty of a central authority close down,Obama care and better taxes.

I thought Obama said he wanted to bring transparency and openness to Government. Allowing Congress to do late night scrambling to get unconstitutional things put into bills is not the best way to do it. I make much less than $65,000 a year, but I believe many people who do make $250,000+ a year have worked very hard to attain it, and should not be robbed of it by the government.

EDIT: I am a little skeptical about the exact %'s, and the fact that it came from Limbaugh. But I am aware that Obama is at the very least raising taxes for the wealthy, plus allowing Bush Tax Cuts to expire, raising taxes for just about everybody. (Note, I also modified some things in the top paragraph for clarity)

When your tax break goes away that Bush gave you, you too will be paying more in taxes... 100% across the board received a Tax Break under Bush.

    http://www.smartmoney.com/personal-finance/taxes/w...

Obama will take that away. Plus his cap and trade tax is going to make everything and I do mean everything more expensive. Businesses of all sizes will have higher bills which will force them to charge more. Price of food will go up - it takes electricity to keep food refrigerated doesn't it... So pretty much anything that uses electricity to produce something will go up in price...

What really sucks and soo many people are in favor of this.

  • I knew they were not gonna cut the middle class taxes already but now its increased- thats just great! Obama's approval rating just dropped significantly! I guess he don't care now that he won and has control.

Don't forget the marriage tax. Those who are married will also pay more.

This doesn't include the energy tax increase, food/sin tax increase, or the expiration of the Bush Tax Cuts in 2010.

I won't even mention cap and trade or Universal health care.

And with double digit inflation right around the corner.....

    Hold on tight.

No doubt taxes will increase drastically. You can't have a spending bill that big and it not cause taxes to go up. Just wait a year or so and inflation will sky rocket.

I believe you to be mistaken. The income tax increase for those making over $250k is a mere 3%. Please provide a cite for your source of your figures, otherwise no one can agree or disagree because your claims cannot be verified.

Edited to add: Your source is Rush Limbaugh??? Please, supply a reliable and credible source. Limbaugh is a charlatan.

Superman misses the point... its not WETHER you can afford it or not. teh point is its MY MONEY that I WORKED FOR. who gives YOU or the GOVERNMENT OR ANYONE ELSE THE RIGHT to say your going to take what i worked for and give it away to someone who diddnt?

THATS the problem with taxes. Soon as super and the rest of the libs starts paying taxes, theyll understand also.
