Marriage is not just a christian institution, despite what some think. Heck, I don't care if a person wants to marry their dog- it a persons' own choice as to who (or what) they want to commit to. Other than that- the rest of your question/statement is completely correct. So says a Republican.

I think you give liberals too much credit. They have no idea that they goose-step towards a Stalinist nightmare. The scay thing is that they will take along a lot of people who abhor their "warm & fuzzy" version of the disease we know as communism.

The liberal media worships the Kennedy family. Here is a perfect example of liberalism- the Kennedys live off of the blood money of their grandfather Joe Kennedy, an Irish gangster who was as dirty as any mafia family of today. Kennedys are known for their elitism, arrogance, not earning their own income, alcoholism, drug usage, womanizing and lving above the law. The head of the Kennedys is Teddy, who comitted felony manslaughter; left a young lady to drown, to protect his political future.

Communism is a disease thats permeated throughout the democratic party; as it progresses, its followers reject and condemn everything that America has stood for and is proud of; liberal teachers tell kids that white people stole this land and don't deserve it, they use the issue of abortion to emotionally control young people and they welcome a dictatorship with no freedom or civil liberties, just corrupt governement controlling everyone's lives.

Don't get me started about civil rights- liberals appointed false leaders like Jackson and Sharpton to incite racial hatred to create a need for more liberalism.

Our family structure is destroyed, we have lost our faith in God (whatever that means to the individual) our role models are rap stars, athletes and movie stars. Our children are being fed pap and propaganda in the public school system. We are literally rotting from within by the diseases of excess-cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, drugs, alcohol, tobacco. We have no morals left.

I don't think anyone sat down and consciously decided it--like the villian in a James Bond movie or something. But yes, Hollywood does try to influence the values of American moviegoers, and politicians on the left see Europe as an ideal society. And do not believe in America exceptionalism. (The idea that America is American and does what does, not about following world opinions)

The ideology of people in the big cities and the coasts are different than the ideologies of many people in the middle and the South. So different, it is frightening to ponder the future of our country. What we need is less hysteria, and more solutions.

Obama ran as a bridge-builder who would reach out to the right, but he has been hammering through the most liberal domestic agenda since Lyndon Johnson, and foreign policy of Jimmy Carter.

Very well said, and I have to agree with Craig C and monicatripp as well. A lot of it is about pandering. Liberals like using minorities as their tool. They want minorities to believe they are concerned for their rights, but that appears to only be true for the minorites who agree with them. Look how many times black Republicans like Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice have been called things like "Uncle Tom" and "sell-out" by the Democratic left while making idols out of libs like Jesse Jackson.

Gay marriage does not trivialize 'marriage'. If two gay men getting married makes your own marriage trivial, then your marriage was pretty meaningless to begin with.

My own marriage to my husband is meaningful and strong. It will remain this way no matter who else gets married or even how any people get divorced.

To say the value of your marriage is determined by gays getting married or not is pretty sad. You might as well go ahead and join the 50% of marriages (between straight people) that end every year.

This nation was formed using the laws of God however it has converted to the laws of man. The bible forbids gay anything but what the hell does God know.
