possible mild concussion or skull fracture?
my car trunk fell on my head (the top front part of my skull - left side) as i was removing some packages about 5 days ago. the actual impact was with the blunt projecting lock mechanism. it caused me severe pain, but i did not lose conciousness or suffer and blurred vision or any of the typical side effects of a concussion...however, i have been getting very very minor sporadic headaches still (beyond the bruise on my balding head) and wonder if i need to get medical treatment. when do i pass a window of where i may or may not be in serious danger? my other problem is that i cannot afford extensive tests right now. should i continue to worry? i feel a bit better each day, but i have been told not to be complacent about this as i still might have a hairline skull fracture or a mild concussion. advice? thanks in advance.

Ow. I understand with this stupid economy nobody can afford anything anymore! Relax. Go to the doctor, I would have recommended the ER, but if your not in a good finacial position go to a doctor as soon as possible. Please hurry! You could be bleeding, even though you might be feeling better the injury could be worse. My mom works at the ER and one guy had something like you except a heavy branch fell on his head. It ended up that he was bleeding inside, if he had waited any longer he could of died. So I am not trying to worry you I just want you to realise that this could be seirous.
Hope that helped ♥♥♥

No, anytime you hit your head like that you need to go to the ER. You could have an epidural or subdural bruise on your brain that may take months for you to see side effects. Subdural bruises bleed slowly so you could bleed to death and it may be too late. Go to the doctor, ASAP
