Why are so many baseball games blacked out on dish network?

Last year we have the local cable company, we could watch the TIgers, Indians, and reds all play. This year we have Dish Network and we pay extra for 22 different teams, and they block out all the games except the Indians. I cant stand the Indians they suck, so my question is Are these blackouts only on the Satelite dish companies?? Because I have friends that still have the local cable and they are able to watch the Tigers still, and the reds also.. But for some reason Dish network could not give me an honest answer either.. Someone that knows the truth please HELPPPP!!!!

I have the same problem. Dish convinced me to switch over and I told them the deal breaker was that I had to get FSN detroit so I could watch the Tiger games. They convinced me that it wasnt a problem and every game is blacked out. I called to complain, and they couldnt give me a decent answer, but they gave me mlb extra innings for free. Now I can watch EVERY SINGLE game in MLB EXCEPT the TIGERS. THIS IS BULLSHIT. All i get is the run around from dish. They claim these are MLB blackouts. BULLSHIT
