How long will it take for a Christian to receive the new body, sometimes called the resurrection body. To ask?

As the Bible says "In a twinkling of an eye, we will all be changed".

Catholic Doctrine:

Death is the separation of our souls from our bodies. Immediately after death our souls are judged by Jesus. If we have unrepentant sin we go into the "state" of purgatory for purification (not hell) for a short while. If unforgivable sin is present we go to Hell (never to see God).

At the 'end of the world' the bodies of all who have died BEFORE will "rise" to be re-united with their souls (souls already residing in either Heaven or Hell) . Sanctified souls stay in Heaven; Damned souls stay in the "state" of Hell (the body is "raised" to either location to be reunited with the soul).

After that...THEN will take place the "General Judgment" of the whole world. The bodies and souls of those who will go to Heaven will share forever in the glory of their souls; the bodies of the damned will share forever in the punishment of their souls...

At the time of the second coming when we have a new heaven there will be a new type of body. We will be in another dimension. There is a biologist who wrote about this. The guy who headed up the human genome project.. his name is Francis Collins.

the bible tells us that are alive right now. in the twinkiling of an eye we shall be changed that is only for CHRISTIANS though

A few weeks and nine months.

A few weeks for some random chick to hook up with somebody and mindlessly screw without protection, and nine weeks for pregnancy.
