Cat has become very skittish/nervous?
This morning, I noticed that my cat was very nervous/skittish. He is normally energetic and affectionate. I thought that maybe he had just been spooked. However, later, in the afternoon, he was still like this. He is acting very afraid, his eyes widen at the slightest sudden sound, even familiar ones. He is also very tense and jumpy. I am very concerned about him and wondering what is the matter with him. Any ideas?
We have now discovered that he seems to be absolutely TERRIFIED of people walking towards him while holding an object, even something harmless, like a backpack or a sweatshirt. His eyes widen, he looks panicked, and he flees when this happens.

i'm no cat expert but it seems terrified! Did anyone hit it, maybe if you let it outside someone could have shooed out of their yard and scared it. But you may want to take it to the vet. Or it could be something new did you get a new piece of furniture or something? idk that's a tough one.

if it gets worse maybe take him to the vet. maybe he contracted something or ate something bad? perhaps he had a run in with a mean dog
