My oldest cat passed away at 19 years old.. and my youngest passed away at 14..
I guess it would be safe to say anywhere between 12 and 18 (on average)

Cats require a big bowl of fresh water, and a high quality kibble that is available 24X7 Cats will not overeat, and like to eat many small meals a day! Dogs, can, and will overeat---ignore the ignorant comments here, from people, lacking knowledge of cats---while people are concerned about calories, and portions, that does not apply to cats! The dry food has the most nutrition, while the canned food is basically just moisture, with low nutritional value---you could feed your cat, a half can in the morning, and evening--I buy Wellness at Petco, or Petsmart, a $32.00 bag lasts many months, and the cat will require less food---the cheap grocery store junk foods, are mostly corn, and meat Bi products, and the cat will eat more--and have more stools---its never a great idea to be a "control freak" when it comes to feeding your pets, let your cat eat as much as they want, they will not overeat!

A cat's life span is generally around 14 years but by keeping the cat indoors and taking excellent care of it can greatly increase the life of your cat to anywhere between 25 to 32 years.

Assuming it lives to die of natural causes, rather than an accident about 13. Anything over 12 is considered to be old. All of mine have died of natural causes between the ages of 11 and 15, the current 3 are 12, 14 and 15.

"The estimated average life span of a free-roaming cat is less than three years—compared to 15–18 years for the average indoor-only cat."
So, the average is 10 yrs.

We can live up to 25 years, though 25 is about 100 in cat years.
17-21 years is common if you keep your cats indoors and take them to the vet regularly.
I only lived 11 years because I got into trouble as an outdoor cat.
