Do you really believe that any man made governments can bring about world peace?

Yes, as long as it is based on logic and truth and not lies and delusion like religious super powers of the past.

'Peace and harmony' are works of God. Lasting 'world peace' can only come about by the hand of the One through whom 'all things are held together.'(see Colossians 1:17)

During the days of the judges, there were times when the 'Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD' by serving false idols, adopted from the pagan nations around them. So the LORD would allow the promised land to be invaded, and the people would cry out to HIM. The LORD would then raise up a 'deliverer'. While Othniel was alive, Israel had 'peace for forty years'.(see Judges 3:7-11)

Soon the King of kings will sit on His throne, 'the government will be on His shoulders.' Another one of His titles will be 'Prince of Peace.'(see Isaiah 9:6)

I really have no confidence in man made goverments, the on ly way that we could truly have somthing close to peace is if there was one goverment rulling the whole world. Otherwise we'll have all these goverments counteracting each others laws and arguing over who offers the best, then war breaks out. However even if we did have a global goverment, there will still be terrorism plauging our world. So we'll never really have world peace in the hands of man made goverments.

Only true peace comes through Jesus Christ- men will attempt to bring peace through governments, but it has not happened in thousands of years, and it will not happen until Christ comes again to claim His Kingdom.

People have always had leaders. Used to be just tribe leaders. Now it's grown to governments because, faulty as it is, it takes a lot larger leading body to lead so many.

The leaders are only people, it is humanity as a whole that can bring world peace, but we all have to be in agreement to do it. And not all cultures are willing to find that place in themselves yet.

Sure it can, we have come to the brink of nuclear holocaust plenty of times in the last century.

All we need is for some one to push the buttons and for the mushroom clouds to fly and finally the world will be at peace.

To answer your question NO because man is the one that is deciding how to take care of his affairs and putting god on the side.

Its like a person who buys a brand new car and doesnt know anything about cars, suddenly they add water in teh gas tank thinking it will let them fix their problem of empty gas and make the car run. But according to the manufacturer, you should only add gasoline and to be more specific ' unleaded gasoline.

So you basically follow the manufactueres guidelines on how to take care of and handle their product, and not assume your own assumptions and experimentation.

Similiarily, we as humans are gods products, he is our manufactere, so we must follow his guidelines in order for peace to come on earth.

Those guidelines come through the holy book. But then the question becomes which one is truly teh word of god. For me as a muslim I with firm belief know its teh Quran, however everyone is welcome to do their own research.

For this reason, we are making gay marriage legal, kids can talk back to theri parents and the parents cant touch their kids, you are considered an adult when you are 18, well y not 16 or 19 or would it make more sense as islam put it, once you reach the age of puberty.

It's not possible because of human imperfection. Only God can bring about true peace and security and restore the earth back to its original condition of paradise fulfilling his original purpose for all humankind.

In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.” We have every reason to put full confidence in such a promise because Jehovah God is unchanging, dependable, and true to his word. (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17) He wants what is best for us, and if we always heed what is said in his Word, the Bible, it will guide us successfully through these fearful times.—Isaiah 48:17, 18.

It is untrue that people got disillusioned with Christianity or even the Catholic Church because of scientific theories such as Evolution. The truth is that we persecuted and killed the Church in the twentieth century. A king will come who will rethink about getting anointed by the Pope and then shall come peace.

This is because mankind was never given much choice. If you don't submit to God's plans, God will sell you out to Devil who shall ruin you while you believe that you are free. It is either God or Devil, there is no third option.
