Has anyone noticed that people who spend money on illegal drugs like marijuana tend to be losers?

I wouldn't call them losers, but life goes by so fast, and then all of a sudden they hit 40-50 and they wake up and realize that they wasted half of their life doing nothing.

I know what your talking about ive smoked weed before and have done it a couple months ago but every time i do it i don't really want to waste all my money on it and end up not smoking for months or even a year mostly because of the money issue. I had a cousin who like me believed in moderation then he moved out now all he does is smoke weed that he gets off his friends doesn't help with rent and moves to a new house every month he dropped out of college and whats the most sad is before he lost his ambition he was one of the smartest most creative person ive ever met.

but to answer your question i dont think they are loosers i just think that most ppl who do those things tend not to realize what the future holds if they dont balance their life.

I think that this behavior has to do with the personality not the drug. People have thrown there lives away because of alcohal!!, gambliing!!!!

crack!!!. tobacco has destroyed peoples lives, health, clothing and home. People have been known to eat themselves into a depressed stupor. There lives are destroyed because of food... no drugs or alcohal. What about the senetor who through his life down the tubes because he got busted spending all his money on prostitures.

The point is that addictive personalites can manifest themselves in many ways. Marijuana is not the blame it's the personality. Remember guns don't kill people, people kill people. Weed is not a bad drug, it's the people who use weed are the ones that make the choice on how they are going to let their mind be controlled by a drug or an addiction.

That generalization is true more often than it isn't, but you can't use that as a rule. I know a lot of mj users who are on their own, run businesses, have good jobs, own houses, and don't waste their lives. Most of the successful ones get high when they are done taking care of the details of life though--they aren't getting high all through the day.

EXTREMELY WRONG. especially for marijuana hell that one mayor of DC was smoking crack while he was in office ...yes he was caught but technically he was "successful"....what does that term mean anyway? for a lot of people it doesnt mean being rich/ money or fancy job titles.

as for people living with their parents and whatnot forever... no thats not cool but that doesnt necessacarily mean theyre getting high all the time... or at all for that matter

You'd be surprised how many "successful" people spent money on such things.

They just hide that fact better.

Why buy larvish food, that nice looking coffee-table, any other object of luxury then?

You can find much better ways to spend that money.

I smoke, and I think I'm doing pretty damn well, I don't spend ALL my time smoking, and I don't plaster that fact all over myself like other stoners.

Sounds like a winner to me. They have fun and don't work who doesn't want to do that. I think someone is jealous.
