So frustrated at husband... 31Wks along...?
So for the past few weeks my Intimate relations with hubby have taken a drastic turn. Honestly since ive gotten pregnant it hasn't been as much as i would enjoy it to be...
My hubby's excuse is that he doesn't want to "hurt the baby" which ive tried telling him is a bunch of crap. But ofcourse he heard from work friends that its "bad for her and the baby" Even tho our OB told us BOTH that its fine to have sex. Well the other nite we finally discussed it all and i told him i would really enjoy it if we had sex a little more often. He finally told me that he just couldn't because he was so scared he was gonna poke the baby and that it actually made him have to fake a climax a time or two with me before. That really hurt me.
He's also afraid of hurting me as well because ive been getting bigger and positions are more difficult now. Anyways... i guess im just frustrated and wanted to know if anyone had any advice.... I miss the Intimate moments with him....

Get out a photo of basic female anatomy for your husband. When you have sex, your husband's penis will come nowhere near your cervix...where the baby is tucked up and away. It's like a two-room apartment with a door between the first and the second room that's closed. The baby isn't going to have a clue what you and the hubby are up to...it's not physically possible for even the most well-endowed man to get up into the cervix during sex. Show him on paper. That might help.

I think all guys go through this one way or another. You have to think of how he may feel. Pretend you are the guy and your wife is pregnant and you are having sex while she has a child in there. Sure, it can make a guy feel awkward.
What he needs to understand is the basic anatomy of the female's body and how his penis doesn't come close, and he needs to trust your doctor's judgment. When it comes to pregnancy they have to be 100% sure before saying yes. My husband got a little scared towards the end of my pregnancy, but I reassured him that it's fine and the baby cannot feel it then he was fine. Just keep reassuring him and find some information online for him to read. =) Good luck!

My husband is the same way, we had a scare a couple days after sex that I may be leaking amnio, and the doc told us that it was because of sex, but everything was fine, now he has an excuse everytime I try to be intimate with him, like his allergies are bothering him or he's tired, so we haven't had sex for over a month now and he doesn't want to talk about it. Do share when you find a way to convince him to be intimate with you, cause i desperately need to know!

I'm going through the same thing. Not necessarily the sex thing, but taking showers together. He just doesn't seem to want to take a shower with me anymore. I don't know if it's my changing body or what.
I'm really sorry you have to go through that. Remind him that after the baby comes you guys can't have sex for 6 weeks. maybe that will give him a shove.

Yeah I get the same thing from mine he's afraid that he'll make him come early. If we do "do it" it's once every week sometimes 2 weeks. and I'm ready to just pop his little neck off. It's easy to do "doggy style" I've heard never tried it tho. So good Luck.

Take him along to your next OB appt. and ask the doctor to give him more reassurance. You might also try challenging his creativity, as in "I enjoy our lovemaking so much, and you're so creative, I'm sure you can figure out a comfortable position for us".
Best wishes!!

i heard that having sex while pregnant helps you dialate faster during labor. Also there is not a way to hurt the baby it is protected by the THICK amnionic sac.

The shoe will be on the other foot after the birth. He will want sex and you will not want to, you should remember this frustration as you refuse him.

he cares about you, dont have sex if he dont wanna, but ask him if he will a little
