Ultimately, only those who've blocked a specific ID, can tell you why they Blocked it, and who it was that they blocked.

I've had IDs tell me they blocked me, because I lied about something, they wouldn't tell me what I supposedly lied about, just that I supposedly lied.

The same ID accused me of reporting something they posted.

I've had other IDs block me, apperantly, because I'm on a list somewhere.

I've had other IDs block me, but then appologise, saying that either it was a mistake, or someone else told them too.

I've seen suggestions to block ALL contacts an ID has, and at least once, I was a Contact of said ID.

I had one ID block me because he thought I was belittling him/insulting him, which I wasn't. He IMed me, asking me about it, and asking me to change my answer, which I of course told him could only happen if he lifted the block, which he happily did.

Honestly, I've reached the point where, if it matters enough to me, I will simply walk through the Block.

I usually block IDs for "tracking purposes", though right now I have no one blocked since I asked a question, in R&S and felt that ALL should be able to answer. I think it's stupid/short sighted, and cowardly to ask a group, or individual, a question, and block members of that group, or specifically that individual. I often laugh when someone asks me personally a question after having blocked me.

I block, for much the same reason as why I add someone as a contact. When I see a question, it's nice to have a feel for the ID. One ID seems to like to pop up once every 8? months or so with a series of insane/stupid claims about what I supposedly believe. Having some sort of marking helps me recall who it is, and refreshes my memory for where he/she is coming from so I can better answer the question.

Some dude named Lothario. His avatar matches his name. Normally I don't go out of my way to block people but he was strange and said things about me that weren't true. He was probably a troll.

some apostates have started impersonating witnesses and using their handle. be careful to check out anyone who adds you as a contact.

even after you block them sometimes they can still answer by looking for your question randomly in the religion and spirituality section or some other means. Asking questions in a not so obvious way may reduce the times this happens.

others i have blocked are lone dissenter, lkm, wrath of the fist, callum, noiamnot, help the planetless, grey tower, vic w, troll spray, troll to troll, doughboy, yosef, tara rose, jehovah's champion, endgame, kathy m, lady kk, the end of all liars and their lies, the free agent, white dove native, rustic b, worker41am, seek and you'll find, friend, yesiam, surviving swimmingly, the naughty librarian, sam c, tim thayer, testtube jebus, serena, helpisontheway, silver tongue, pink spaniel, marie, the truth tm, blood, the real truth, roman catholic apologist, tim f, the local jedi, zipporah, myth bomber, simone v, patti, question it all, big guy 360, truth seeker, brennan s, sarah s, edge, karl p, evil d, and someone who uses the word olin in at least 6 accounts or so. Many more, those are just the ones that stand out. I blocked them when I saw they said something apostate, criticized the organization, jehovah, or the brothers.

Hun' I honestly suggest u dont ask questions like this on here because apostates and other people who are against Jehovah's Witnesses can say things that can make u stumble. I read a few of the answers to this question... and I have to say, just reading them made me see what kind of people they are and I could see the danger in reading their answers. It can be dangerous. There is no need to talk about religion on this site or out beliefs. This should be for simple questions about everyday life and situations. NOT about our faith. Be careful.

However there are a couple that have blocked me.

It's interesting that these ask "questions" about Jehovah's Witnesses and then block those they know are. What are THEY afraid of?

My block list is growing as I keep coming across these apostates that spread their hateful lies and propaganda. I don't like giving them the opportunity to spread their filth on my queries. If they go around the block and answer my queries anyway I report them. Most of those on my block list are apostates but I don't block all apostates just those who have no problem telling lies. I also block opposers of truth, these can be from a number of religions but they go out of their way to malign Jehovah's people and Jehovah himself.

I block all the ones who like to e-mail me with insults and any that I notice posting spam or the same answer to every single question they answer, regardless of what it is.

A question like you questioned doesn't bring an answer only brings bad comments from apostates that are trying to discourage you. Watch out for what you are asking... Anyways, I don't have friends in my contact list (only you know) but I'm sure I won't like to have apostate in it.
