Need a computer monitor. What to pick?
Okay, so my old CRT monitor is now in CRT land. It was an old 19" Viewsonic. Considered to be the top of the line in it's day. I bought it on Ubid. It was reconditioned and had served me faithfully for 7 years.
Now, my uses for a NEW computer monitor is for mostly Computer Aided Drafting. This is line intensive. Constant updates from the screen is a norm (much like gaming). I also have some uses for spreadsheets, word processing and naturally surfing on the web.
My dillemma? Well, I do have a fixed budget (who doesn't). I do not have a problem with real estate. The bigger the better. But I do not need 24" monstrosities. I have dual 19" regular LCD monitors at work. They are great. I am comfortable with these units. But for home? I was thinking wide screen. Possibly 20 to 22 inch.
What do you people think? What is the best model out there? What would be your first and possibly second choices? Your experiences with your choice?
Oh, my budget? I am trying to stay below $200.00. I have two teenage boys who eat me out of house and home.

Lcd monitors have come down in prices in recent months! so u should get a pretty good deal.
Specs to look out for:
response time of 2ms or less
widescreen
Dvi input
I recommend :
Acer: Very good quality
Asus: very good quality with added features like speaker, different screen modes...etc
HP(glossy screen, but doesnt cope well with reflection)
here you go, these monitors are under 200us dollars

The HP 2207 is the best Monitor I have ever used. I have 2 of them(I sold the others)
One of them I bought for $200 at Amazon(refurbished) and it works perfect.

Siempre he tenido una excelente experiencia cundo he comprado ordenadores de sitios web, el ultimo ordenador que he comprado ha sido para un amigo que le gustan los juegos, he encontrado un ordenador perfecto en la pagina y en realidad es aun mejoren realidad, el diseños de la caja le ha encantado y el ordenador funciona perfectamente para los juegos, una excelente placa video, gran memoria y un buen procesador además de estar full HD, hacen de este ordenador un excelente ordenador para los juegos, tal como él quería.
