Is Obama's plan for healthcare a freebie or a tax on the working man?

Update:

I guess if you think it's expensive now, wait till it's free!!

Thanks for many good answers!

It will only be free to the poor who don't pay taxes. The rest of us will get the shaft. I already pay for health care, I don't want to pay more so you can have it for free.

it is not free by any means. it is a ridiculous burden on the people who actually pay taxes. The people without healthcare are the ones who dont pay taxes to begin with so for them its free, but with obama what isnt. if you actually research you will see canada and many european countries are trying to switch back to privatized health care because universal is so ineffective at actually doing anything. If you remember going to the BMV for a car registration or whatever and remember waiting in line for an hour when there are 2 people in front of you. It would be those people running hospitals.

Someone has to pay. Any tax hike or mandated fee affects everyone (even those who are not directly taxed). The funny part of all this is that the Democrats have people believing that tax hikes only affect the rich, but the rich find ways to either avoid taxes or pass the cost on the the little guy. Enjoy your "free" health care everybody!

By the way, it will be free for some - the non-producers and parasites of society!

It will be a major tax on everyone and a terrible health plan. Do you really trust the government with your health? If you think it is not good now, just wait until the government takes over.

There is no "Free" anything.. someone has to pay and it comes off the back of those who work.. Unless the Neo-Progressives now pass a law that all health care workers, doctors, the power company, the water company, the Pharmaceutical companies all need to work for "Free" ...

"cause its for the betterment of Society .LOL

It is a tax, since the program would have to funded by taxpayer money.

For this program to be established, where else would the money come from? Obama's magic wallet?

It's definitely not a freebie, and he never promised that! He and his team are trying to find ways to make health care AFFORDABLE for all of us. That means finding ways to cust costs so that the individual will not have to pay as much. I'm hoping that he will be successful.

    It's a tax.

How else are they going to pay for it. What ever they pay for, comes from taxes.

It's not really free health care, just free for those who don't work.

At least this way we get something for our tax dollars besides a corporate bailout.

Republicans, please get your priorities in order. Free Healthcare for Americans is wrong, becuase obviously it's better for America if every citizen has to rely on an employer for their families health; but free billions for banks is right, and somehow, putting preconditions on those billions makes it socialism? Would you please decide what exactly it is that you want, besides a President with an "R" next to his name?

Because if that's your only criteria, I'm perfectly happy to start calling him "President Barrack Obama R". I'll even pronounce it like a pirate...

Um, it's a freebee to those who otherwise don't pay tax?

I prefer to pay my way, and have very little trust for our gov't to get health care right with our tax dollars.
