Can you recommend some interesting video games that reward/ emphasize creativity, as opposed to destruction?

Well, the first thing that comes up in my mind is Guitar Hero: World Tour. I know you are probably saying that it doesn't teach real guitar, but it arouses an interest in playing instruments. Another thing is that the drums do teach real drums (one way that is proof is that you can hook an electronic drumset to the plastic one and play on that one if you please). And after all of that is said and done, you can use your creativity and create your own unique song to play and share with people world wide.

Another game would have to be Spore (PC). This game is ONLY for people with creative minds. It features many "Creators" where you design a creature/boat/space ship/land vehicle. The story mode for it is trash but the creators give hours upon hours of creating your own "thing". It is really good for those who would like to express their creative minds.

You mean characters carrying out actions revolving around creativity and growth as opposed to destruction?

Sorry, I've never run into such an games. I have heard of a pacifist playing WoW though. He's somewhat well known on a server (can't remember the name of the server).

You won't find many games fitting your description though. Pikman is the only one I can think of that comes close.

Edit: LOL, LBP is what this asker must be serching for. :) That game is so cute!

I lost truly some interest in video games as this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. I probable purely play approximately 2 hours worth of video games a week, it purely looks...pointless. Now i will comprehend the way adults do not play video games. particularly all i will think of of is Dishonored, a good distance Cry 3, and the destiny sport popping out in 2013, Bioshock limitless.

Bioshock is a real good game. It is a little challenging, but you can do things like mix weapons and plasmids to defeat your opponets. You can create electric fences, and make spirling fire pits. Many say it's the best game of all time.

Little Big Planet is a great example of this. It allows you to design levels and post them online so other people can play. The game can be appreciated by all age groups, and since kids can play it, it is by nature not violent.
