They just like to bring you a nice(in their mind it is nice)present! and bringing home dead mice is the only kind they can bring us,they feel as if they are contributing to running the home or in their case the cat pack!

A cat mother brings dead animal to their kittens, to show them that this is the way of survival for them. So, cat bring a dead mouse or bug to we owners to teach us the way of survival (poor, helpless humans right?)

There are a few reasons. Your cat wants to provide for you, because it loves you :) It sees you as a member of its pack and wants to make sure you are well taken care of. It also wants to teach you how to hunt, because we are all stupid humans who can only open a can ;) Its providing for you to show it cares, if you don't want it, wait til the cat isn't looking and throw it away. It will think you ate it and be very happy with you :) Don't discourage this behavior, its a high sign of praise!!

My Cat always brings me little presents. It is his way of showing gratitude and love to me. Your cat is just doing the same. He just wants to show you how much you mean to him.

Domestic cars that are well-fed hunt for the fun of it and from instinct, but often don't really want to eat it. So they bring it back to share.

Because it is too hard to bring live ones home.
If you don't want it (who does?) than toss it in the garbage as I do at least once a month (squirrels, mice, birds)

They see you as a "bad hunter" so are providing for you. Accept your cats "gift" and dispose of it out of your cats sight.

Unfortunately, its just their natural instincts. Its like a present for you and they want to show them they love you. If you don`t want it, then you will simply have to hold your nose and bin it.

To show them how short life is.
