Yes. You can gain weight by eating late. A lot of people are under the mistaken impression that you can have your own schedule and your body will follow. I will try to keep this short. Your body produces a healing hormone between the hours of 10pm and 2am. This hormone process does not happen if you aren't asleep (really good for you if you work out). Your body is not always the same temperature either. When you wake, your temperature is higher. When your body is ready for sleep, it is lower. That middle of the day napping feeling we all tend to have is no mistake. Our body temperature drops during the day telling us it needs a little resting time. That increased feeling of energy we get after a workout is due to the increase in body temperature. I know that was a little off the subject. My point is that your body has chosen times for eating, sleeping and so on. If we go against those times, it confuses our natural rhythm thus also effecting metabolism and so on.

Yes and no. It's the total of what you consume and what you burn that will determine whether or not you gain or lose weight.

If you overeat at night, and then overeat during the day, and you don't burn the calories, then you'll gain weight.

If the total calories of what you eat at night plus what you eat during the day is less than what you need to maintain your bodyweight, then you will lose weight.

Some what true Because when you eat late at night those extra calories dont get burned off, so it just turns into fat.
